Abel began his medical career in Cuba, where he earned his medical degree and completed additional postgraduate training in intensive care. He later gained international clinical experience in Venezuela.

After immigrating to the United States, his foreign medical education was formally evaluated for academic equivalency. He then continued his healthcare career in the U.S., completing his nursing education and later his advanced practice education at the University of Miami, becoming a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with autonomous practice authority in Florida.

He has also completed extensive continuing clinical education through Empire Medical Training, with additional training across multiple areas of practice, including pain management, hormone health, IV therapy, nutrition and wellness, PRP, microneedling, aesthetic procedures, and practice management.

Today, Abel brings together his international medical background, U.S. advanced practice education, and continued clinical training to provide personalized, culturally responsive care to the Central Florida community.

She has also completed extensive continuing clinical education through Empire Medical Training, with additional training across multiple areas of practice, including pain management, hormone health, IV therapy, nutrition and wellness, PRP, microneedling, aesthetic procedures, and practice management.

Today, Meyssell combines her international medical education, U.S. advanced practice education, and continued clinical training to provide thoughtful, individualized care across the diverse needs of her patients. 

  Abel and Meyssell founded Oriente Health & Wellness with a shared vision: to make quality healthcare more accessible, personalized, and convenient for the Central Florida community.

As both the owners and healthcare providers behind the practice, they are committed to creating a more personal approach to care — one where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their health.
